Recovery Force Health's MAC System Receives Vizient's Innovative Technology Contract

Recovery Force Health (RF Health) has announced that its Movement And Compressions (MAC) System.

The world’s first wearable therapeutic compression device that also measures and displays real-time patient mobility data, has been awarded an Innovative Technology contract from Vizient, Inc., the nation’s largest provider-driven healthcare performance improvement company.

This recognition follows a recommendation by hospital experts serving on one of Vizient’s customer-led councils, underscoring the MAC System's unique attributes that could significantly enhance healthcare practices.

The MAC System was selected through Vizient’s rigorous Innovative Technology Program, which evaluates products for their potential to improve clinical care, patient safety, healthcare worker safety, and operational efficiency in healthcare settings.

The importance of enhancing patient engagement to improve compliance with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prevention and early mobility, facilitated by the MAC System's cordless design allowing patients mobility while receiving necessary DVT prophylaxis.

In addition to providing mechanical compression for DVT prevention, the MAC System empowers patients to set mobility goals, equipping caregivers with essential metrics to support in-hospital mobility efforts and adherence to recommended DVT prophylaxis protocols.

Clinical trials suggest potential benefits such as increased compliance with prophylactic measures, more frequent patient mobilization, reduced hospital stays, and fewer patient refusals.
